2. Coaching and self-development are not therapy
I work as a coach and author in the United States. I am not a licensed therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist, counselor, or medical provider in the United States. My work focuses on self-awareness, personal growth, reflection, and practical tools for everyday life.
My products and services are not psychotherapy, counseling, mental health treatment, medical treatment, diagnosis, or crisis intervention, and they do not replace professional mental health care. Using my content does not create a therapist-client, doctor-patient, or any other licensed professional relationship.
If you are dealing with a mental health condition, trauma, abuse, or any situation that affects your safety or well-being, please seek help from a qualified licensed professional.
3. Sensitive and emotional topics
My content talks about subjects that can be emotionally difficult, such as painful relationships, narcissistic behavior, emotional dependence, trauma bonds, breakups, rejection, guilt, people-pleasing, self-worth, and starting over. Some material may bring up strong feelings. Please go at your own pace, take breaks when you need them, and reach out to a professional or a crisis line if you need support.
4. No diagnosis
Words such as "narcissist," "narcissistic," "trauma bond," "emotional abuse," "attachment," or similar terms are used for educational discussion only. They are not a diagnosis of you, your partner, or any other person. Quizzes, checklists, and exercises are tools for self-reflection, not clinical or diagnostic tests. Only a qualified professional can diagnose a mental health or medical condition.
5. Not an emergency or crisis service
This website, my apps, emails, social media, and products are not emergency or crisis services and must never be used in place of them. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. If you are in emotional crisis, call or text 988 (US).
6. Your choices and your responsibility
You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, relationships, health, and results. You decide whether any idea, tool, or exercise is right for your situation, and you use my content at your own discretion and risk. Please seek qualified professional help whenever it is appropriate.
7. No guaranteed results
I want my work to help you, but every person and every situation is different. I do not promise or guarantee any specific emotional, relationship, personal, health, financial, or other result, or any timeframe for results. Nothing in my marketing should be read as a promise of a particular outcome.
8. Testimonials and reviews
Any testimonial, review, or story shared on this website reflects one person's own experience. It is not a promise that you will have the same or similar results. I only share real testimonials, with permission, and I do not create fake reviews. If a person received anything in exchange for a testimonial, I will disclose it where the law requires. You are always free to leave an honest review.
9. Links, recommendations, and third parties
I may link to or recommend books, websites, apps, or services that belong to other people or companies, including Amazon. I am not responsible for their content, products, or policies. Some links may be affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When the law requires it, I will say so.
PART 2: REFUND POLICY
10. Digital products
My eBooks, apps, and other digital products are delivered instantly after purchase. Because you receive full access right away, all sales of digital products are final and non-refundable once access has been delivered. This includes cases where you change your mind, do not use the product, or do not get the results you expected.
Exceptions: I will issue a refund if you were charged twice for the same product by mistake, or if you did not receive your access link or file and I was unable to fix the problem within a reasonable time after you contacted me. Please write to me first so I can help.
Nothing in this policy limits any consumer rights that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you.
11. Physical books sold on Amazon
Paperback and Kindle editions sold through Amazon are subject to Amazon's own policies. Please contact Amazon for orders placed there.
12. Future programs and coaching
If I offer programs, payment plans, subscriptions, or coaching in the future, any specific refund, cancellation, or billing terms will be shown on the sales or checkout page for that offer, and those terms will apply to that purchase.
PART 3: PRIVACY POLICY
13. My commitment to your privacy
Your privacy matters to me. This section explains what information I collect, how I use it, and the choices you have.
14. Information I collect
Depending on how you use the website, I may collect:
- Contact details: your name and email address, and your billing address when you buy.
- Order details: the products you purchase, order history, and messages you send to me.
- Quiz and form answers: answers you choose to give in quizzes, forms, or surveys.
- Technical information: such as IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, and approximate location, collected automatically through cookies and similar tools.
Payments: payments are processed by our e-commerce platform (Shopify) and its payment providers. I do not see or store your full card number.
Your private journal: notes you write inside the Before You Go Back app are saved only on your own device. I do not receive or store them.
Sensitive information: please do not send me sensitive health or personal information by email or contact forms. Quiz answers are used only to send you your result and relevant content.

I do not sell your personal information for money. I share information only with service providers that help me run this business, such as Shopify (store, checkout, and payments), email providers, app hosting, and analytics and advertising platforms, and only as needed for those purposes. I may also share information if the law requires it, to protect my rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.
Some uses of advertising cookies may be considered "selling" or "sharing" under certain state laws. Where the law gives you the right to opt out, you can do so through the privacy choices on this website or by contacting me.
18. Emails
If you join my email list or take a quiz, I will send you emails related to my work. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email. I will still send emails about your orders when needed.

I keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described here, including legal, tax, and accounting requirements, and then delete or anonymize it.

This website and my products are intended for adults 18 and older. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given me personal information, please contact me so I can delete it.

Without my written permission, you may not copy, share, resell, distribute, publish, record, translate, create courses or products from, or upload my content to any public platform or artificial intelligence tool. You may share a short quote with clear credit to Ellen Pinheiro and a link to this website.
28. Your submissions
If you send me messages, comments, reviews, or other content, you confirm that it is yours to share and that it does not violate anyone's rights. I will only publish your words or name as a testimonial with your permission.
29. Website availability
I work to keep the website and apps available, but I cannot promise they will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. I may update, change, or remove content and features at any time.
30. Disclaimer of warranties

If any part of these policies is found to be invalid, the rest will remain in effect. If I do not enforce a part of these policies right away, that does not mean I give up the right to enforce it later. These policies are the complete agreement between you and me about their subject. I may update them from time to time, and the new version will apply from the date it is posted on this page.
